BLAKE LIVELY CAST AS LADY DEADPOOL IN DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE
Ryan Reynolds has broken his silence on Blake Lively’s role as Lady Deadpool in Deadpool & Wolverine.
The actor, who plays Wade Wilson and his titular alter ego Deadpool in the threequel, joked about how his wife ended up appearing as one of the multiple Deadpool variants in the movie’s final act.
“I’ve been sleeping with her,” he told Amanda Hirch on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “Not saying that she’s enjoying the sleeping together part, but I’m just saying I have.
“It’s so weird. I feel nauseous even saying something like that out loud. All I do is keep secrets.”

He then explained of her role: “Yeah, it was kind of one of those things where you’re like, ‘Well, why not?’ I mean, go for it, of course. I mean, we’re all there together anyway. Let’s go nuts.
“Yeah, it was a lot of fun,” he said of the experience. “Yeah, she did love it. And she’s one of the funniest people I know.”
While Lively doesn’t take her mask off in the sequence, loyal fans of the star are aware it’s her due to her distinctive voice. The movie’s credits also confirm that Lady Deadpool is played by the Gossip Girl and It Ends With Us actor.

Lively also confirmed her Lady Deadpool role in a statement on Instagram shared days after the movie’s release.
The actor revealed that Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld’s original sketch of the character back in 2010 was in fact influenced by her.
“If ever we are blessed with Lady Deadpool on screen, I’m pretty certain Ms Lively will have some say in the casting,” he said at the time.
“Rob had no idea I was working with Ryan Reynolds [on Green Lantern],” explained Lively. “12 years later I read Rob’s post. A year after that, Deadpool 3 was filmed. The universe has such a magical sense of humour sometimes.”
Lively wasn’t the only family member to star in Deadpool & Wolverine alongside Reynolds, with two of the couple’s children – 7-year-old Inez and 1-year-old Olin – also making cameo appearances as Kidpool and Babypool.
The Hollywood pair are also parents to two more daughters, 9-year-old
James and 4-year-old Betty.
