According to a source, Danai Gurira Black Panther star, will reprise her role as a Okaoye in Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther Disney plus show. Since Chadwick Boseman’s debut as Black Panther in Captain America: civil war, Marvel studio has gained a lot of success with the Black Panther franchise. Ever since the release of Black Panther’s first solo film in 2018, it has become one of the important franchise of Marvel Universe.

Due to the sudden death of Chadwick Boseman, Marvel Studios decided not to replace Chadwick as Black panther to honour his memory. Mahatma Gandhi however they will continue to tell stories in the Black Panther world. Coogler is working hard on the sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda forever. Ryan Coogler’s production company named Proximity media recently made a 5 year deal with Disney which states that they will be developing shows across their media dominion. The Hollywood Reporter recently did an article on the topmost lawyers of Hollywood. Their list of top lawyers included Jamie Mandelbaum as well and he spoke about one of his deals that involved Marvel’s upcoming Black Panther show.

Jamie Mandelbaum reportedly made a deal for Danai Gurira Black Panther star to portray Okoye one more time in the upcoming Disney plus series followed by the release of Black Panther: Wakanda forever. Though her return has not been officially announced by Marvel Studios yet, we’re sure about her return as no one can play Okoye as beautifully as her.

After the Official announcement for the upcoming Black Panther Disney plus show, fans started to wonder who will return from the cast of the movie for the upcoming show. Danai Gurira’s return as Okoye shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, it’s pretty obvious for her character to return as without Okoye the Black Panther franchise will be incomplete. She might be a supporting character but in the last few years, she has won over several thousand hearts.

Danai Gurira’s Okoye is the head of Wakanda’s Royal guard battalion known as the Dora Milaje consisting of only strong and smart female warriors.
